[무술논쟁 오버라이딩] 책이 나왔습니다! |

이번에 제가 작업한 무술에 대한 생각과 고민들을 정리하여 쓰게 된 책입니다.
이 책의 내용을 정리하자면 부제목 "역사왜곡과 오컬트주의를 넘어서"라는 주제와 마찬가지로 두 주제를 비판해온 비판주의를 극복하자는 차원에서 접근한 것입니다. 즉 이 두 주제에 대한 비판주의는 곧 올바름을 판단하기 이전에 올바르지 못한 것이 무엇인지를 표적을 두고 적대시 하는 것을 통해 올바름을 위한 토대를 마련하자.. 라는 생각으로 이어질 수 있는데요. 그러나 현재 무술의 논쟁거리는 크게 와해되었고 논쟁거리도 없게 되었습니다. 누군가가 이제는 MMA 경기 때문에 무술에 있어서 논쟁거리는 사라졌다고 하더군요. 매우 비관적이고 회의적인 이러한 시각을 전복시키고자 저는 이와 관련된 책을 쓰고 무술논쟁사에 개입하겠다는 거대한 프로젝트를 직접 맏게 된 것입니다.
무술논쟁사, 무술의 사상을 다룬다는 것은 무술을 수련하는 것과 상관이 없어 보일지 모릅니다만, 하지만 결국 올바르지 못하다는 비판주의를 한없이 강박증적으로 반복하는 것은 어찌보면 극복하지 못한 이 상황 자체를 반복하므로서 그것의 공허한 빈 간극을 메우려 한다는 점이 매우 유력하게 설명됩니다.
이러한 차원에서 결국 올바름이 무엇인지 정확히 하고 그에 대한 논쟁을 이어가야 하며 이슈화 되어야 한다는 점에서, 또는 모든 무도인들이 다같이 느끼고 교감하고 하나의 의지를 형성해야 한다는 것이 가장 커다란 문제라고 봅니다.
아무튼 이 책은 과거의 비판주의에 대한 비판과 더불어 무술의 근대사를 조명하고 '근대주의 무도'가 무엇인지 밝히려 하였으며 그러한 근대성을 규정함으로서 우리는 그러한 근대성을 극복할 수 있는 탈근데주의적 흐름을 만들 수 있을 것이라 보았습니다. 그런 점에서 저는 스포츠화 되지 못한, 재래적인 요소를 다분히 내포하고 있는 '정통무도'에 대한 존재성을 논리적으로 추론하여 규정하려 했습니다.
이와 함께 문제를 윤리학에 대한 고민으로 나아갔습니다. 또한 무도스포츠와 정통무도로 규정되는 윤리학과 더불어 '일반이론'에 대한 고민 정도도 미숙한 실력으로 제안했습니다.
이 책은 그런 점에서 좀더 무술에 대한 세계관과 인식을 확장하고 어떠한 실천이 필요한지 이해할 수 있게 될 것입니다. 앞으로 이 책에 의한 논쟁과 새로운 주제들이 늘어났으면 좋겟습니다. |
