성 프란시스의 기도
주여,
우리를 당신의 평화의 도구로 삼으소서.
미움이 있는 곳에는 사랑을 보이게 하시옵소서.
모욕이 있는 곳에는 용서를,
불화가 있는 곳에는 단결을,
의심이 있는 곳에는 믿음을,
절망이 있는 곳에는 희망을,
어두움이 있는 곳에는 빛을,
슬름이 있는 곳에는 기쁨을 보이게 하소서.
위로받기 보다는 위로하고,
이해받기 보다는 이해하고,
사랑받기 보다는 사랑하게 하소서.
우리가 받은 것은 줌으로써이고,
우리가 용서받는 것은 용서함으로써이며,
우리가 영원한 생명으로 탄생하는 것은 죽음으로써이기 때문이옵니다. 아멘

Lord,
make us instruments of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let us sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is discord, union;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we reveive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eterrnal life. Amen.
