Hi i'm violetta wallace, biggie's mom 안녕하세요, 저는 Biggie의 엄마 Violetta Wallce입니다 I wish to thank you for your kind words, 여러분의 친절한 말들과 따스한 손짓, your warm gestures and your constant support over the years 몇년간 끊임없이 이어진 지지에 감사의 말을 전합니다 I also need to share with you a few words about my son 또 내 아들에 대해 몇 마디 말을 하고 싶군요 Please stick a few moments and listen 잠시만 떠나지 말고 들어주세요 I hope you gain something from it 여기서 얻어가는 게 있으시기를 thanks 감사합니다 As a child Christopher was outspoken when it suited him 어릴 때부터 Christopher는 자신에게 맞는 상황에선 거리낌이 없었죠 at times he was quiet and of course he was mischievous as all little boys are 때론 조용했고, 물론 어린 애들이 다 그렇듯 개구쟁이였어요 as a young man he likes to do everything 어릴 적에 그는 뭐든 하길 좋아했죠 he liked to read he likes to be with his friends 읽기도 좋아하고, 친구랑 놀기도 좋아했고 as young kids r young boys he enjoyed life 그렇게 어릴 때는 삶을 즐겼어요 everything that would make him happy or comfortable he would do 그를 행복하고 편안하게 하는 거라면 뭐든 그는 했지만 but mostly he enjoyed being with his friends and family 대부분의 시간에 그는 친구와 가족들과 있는 걸 좋아했어요 his early inspirations toward rap music were the LLs of the world 그가 랩을 처음 좋아하게 된 계기는 랩채널에 나오던 LL Cool J와 the sugar hills the Mr. magic뭩 and the fat boys of the rap channel Sugar Hills Gang, Mr. Magic, Fat Boys 등등이었죠 those were all the things I heard in the house even though I called it noise and banging 난 소음이라고 말하긴 했지만, 집에서는 내내 그런 노래만 들렸답니다 I know now that it is an accepted musical art form 이제는 그게 인정받는 음악 장르라는 걸 알아요 I was a single parent I raised my son on my own 난 미혼모였고, 혼자서 아들을 키웠죠 his father had no influence on his decision towards the musical outlet or career he chose 그의 아버지는 그가 선택한 음악적 진로에 아무런 영향도 주지 않았어요 my son had a mind of his own 내 아들은 혼자만의 마음이 굳었고 even if his father was around he would have turned to rap 그렇기에 곁에 아버지가 있었다고 해도 랩을 했을 겁니다 he loved music he loved rap 그는 음악을 사랑했고, 랩도 사랑했죠 at a point in my sons life he developed paranoia about death and about the dying 내 아들은 어느 시점부터, 그는 죽음에 대한 편집증이 생겨버렸죠 we are living in a world of imperfect human beings 우린 어차피 불완전한 인간으로 살고 있어요 we are greed jealousy and envy or manifested by what others have accomplished in life 우리는 탐욕, 질투, 시기이며, 남들이 이룬 것과 비교 당하며 살아가죠 my son was very very much aware of that 내 아들은 그걸 아주 잘 알고 있었고 he appreciated his station in life on the directions in which he was going are traveling 그가 있는 위치와 삶의 방향에 대해 항상 감사해했어요 on the other hand there were others who I should uhh use the hip hop phrase player hating 한편으로 어떤 이들은 힙합 식으로 말하자면 에, player hating (안티질..-_-)을 하곤 했죠 and I think that is what resulted in his paranoia 그래서 Biggie가 편집증이 생긴게 아닌가도 싶어요 if I had to change anything in my sons life that would have allowed him to be here today 만약 아들의 삶에서 무언가 하나를 바꿔 다른 결과를 만들 수 있다면 I would have deterred him from a career in music 난 그가 음악을 하지 못하게 했을거에요 im aware that millions appreciated his music 그의 음악을 수백만 명이 감상했고 millions loved his music 사랑했다는 건 잘 알아요 be that it may if he hadn't chosen that life style that career 그렇다 해도, 그가 이 삶을 선택하지 않았다면 my son would be alive today 아직도 내 아들은 살아있었을 거에요 if I could sum up Christopher in one word the word would be generous Christopher를 한 단어로 요약하라면 '관용'이라고 할 수 있겠네요 the thing that my son loved most about life was the fact that he was in a position to help 그가 그의 삶에서 가장 좋아했던 것은, 그가 다른 이를 돕고, 다른 이와 나누고 position to share position to give to others who needed to others who wanted 무언가 필요한, 무언가를 원하는, 그가 주는 선물을 감사히 여길 줄 아는 이에게 to others appreciated the gifts that he gave 그것을 줄 수 있는 위치에 있었다는 거에요 that's what he loved most 그게 그가 가장 좋아했던 것이었습니다 |
