안녕하세요

저는 지난 3년간 노트르담 대학교 한인 학생회와 출국자 모임을 통해 학생 및 교환교수/연구원 그리고 가족 분들에게 보험 안내를 드리고 있는 CHARTIS(구 AIG 손해보험)의 이보택 이라고 합니다. 

노트르담 대학교 에서는 모든 외국인 유학생 및 교환교수/연구원 들에게 의무적으로 의료보험에 가입 할 것을 권장을 하고 있습니다. 하지만 미국의 경우 높은 의료수가로 인해 보험료가 매우 높기 때문에 현지 보험을 가입하시는데 많은 부담이 발생하게 됩니다. 하지만 저희 CHARTIS 유학생 보험에 가입을 하시면 학교에서 권장하는 보험이나 미국 현지 보험을 가입 하실 때보다 약 40%이상 보험료를 절감하실 수가 있으며 미국에 체류하시는 동안 불편함 없이 의료혜택을 받으실 수가 있습니다. 

노트르담 대학교 에서는 학교 보험과 같은 종류의 외부 보험에 가입이 되어 있으면 학교보험을 의무적으로 가입 하지 않으셔도 되기 때문에 부득이하게 높은 보험료를 납부하지 않으셔도 됩니다. 또한 노트르담 대학교의 학교보험(United Health Care)과 동일한 회사와 계약이 되어 있는 저희 CHARTIS 유학생 보험은 미국의 85%에 해당하는 병원들과 연계되어 있는 병원들을 모두 동일하게 이용하실 수가 있습니다. 그리고 병원 이용 시 학교 보험과 달리 고객님들이 부담해야 하는 비용이 없기 때문에 부담 없이 의료 혜택을 받으실 수가 있습니다.

노트르담 대학교 학생분 들은 저희 보험에 가입 하신 후 학교 보험을 대체하시는데 어려움이 없도록 제가 직접 보험 웨이버를 도와드리고 있으며, 보험 가입 후 병원 이용 시에도 보험 혜택을 받으시는데 불편함이 없도록 보상서비스까지 직접 대행해 드리고 있습니다.

- 낮은 본인 부담금(Deductable): Deductable 이 높으면 본인이 부담해야 하는 비용이 높다는 것을 의미합니다.
1. 학교 보험: $100(상해나 질병 모두 해당)
2. CHARTIS 유학생 보험 : 질병이나 상해사고에 상관 없이 면책금 없이 보상 한도액내에서 100% 보장됩니다. 
- Copayment
1. 학교보험- 제휴 시설과 비 제휴 시설에 따라 10%~40%까지 Copayment 가 있기 때문에 개인 부담금을 제하고도 전체 치료비의 10%~40%에 해당하는 비용을 고객 본인이 부담해야 합니다. 
2. CHARTIS 유학생보험: 제휴 시설과 비 제휴 시설에 상관 없이 보장되는 담보 내용의 경우 보상 한도액 내에서 100% 보상해 드립니다.

-병원 이용안내
1.보험 카드를 들고 UHC Network 병원에 가시면 의료비용을 병원에서 UHC 를 통하여미국내 저희 보상센타로  요청합니다. 
        -챠티스 제휴병원 및 의료진 검색:www.myuhc.com 
2.만약 챠티스 의 제휴병원이 아닌 경우 고객님이 먼저 병원비를 지불하신후 저희 뉴욕 고객센터로 병원비를 납부하신 영수증과 진단서를 보내주시면 미국 현지에서 보상을 받으실수가 있습니다. 
3.보상 처리와 관련해 어려움이 있으실 경우 언제든지 신속히 처리 될수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.
     
-보상되지 않는 손해
  1. 기왕증(보험가입 이전에 가지고 있던 질환이나 신체적 장애의 치료 및 검사를 목적으로 발생한 비용) 
  2. 임신, 출산과 관련된 비용
  3. 단순 건강 검사를 목적으로 하는 비용(시력 검사 및 건강 검진) 
  4.예방접종비용 (학교 입학시 Immunization 포함) 
5. 정신과 질환/행동장애
6. HIV
7. 비뇨기계장애
8. 직장 또는 항문 질환중 국민건강 보험법상 비급여 의료비
9. 치과,한방치료:국민건강보험법상 비급여 항목(즉, 급여 항목은 보상됨)
