하나님의 왕국

당시 예수님의 복음은
하나님의 왕국이 왔다는 것과
예수님 당신께서 왕국의 전령이요,
인간을 향한 해설자라는 것이었다.
더 나아가서
매우 특별하고 신비로운
방식으로 말하자면,
주님께서 왕국 자체이셨던 것이다.

that the Kingdom of God had come,
and that he, Jesus, was its herald
and expounder to men.

+ 하나님의 왕국이 여기에서는
완전하지도 않고
영광이 가득하지도 않지만
우리는 주변에서
그 흔적 이상의 것을 봅니다.
탕자가 아버지의 집으로 돌아올 때,
마을이 그리스도에게 복종할 때,
깨진 관계가 회복될 때
우리는 그 왕국을 봅니다.
우리에게 볼 수 있는 눈이 있다면
우리는 그리스도와 충만한 왕국의 은혜를
우리 주변에서 볼 수 있습니다. +

in its entirety and full glory,
we see more than mere glimpses of it all around us.
We see it when the prodigal comes home to the Father;
we see it when a village is won over to Christ;
we see it when a broken relationship is mended.
If we have the eyes to see,
